Your audience fStudent Council mernbersl is with you, Mary. The weekly meetings of the Council give everyone a chance to contribute ideas that will keep our school out in front, TSS. 'ice-Pres. ecretaries Proud moment for the officers. OFFICERS Sept. - Ian. M. Herrick G. Gilmartin M. Henkemeier M. Fisher Feb. - Iune P. Molloy D. True R. Conti M. Hamilton The Student Council is one of the most import- ant and respected organizations of the Head- emy. This form of self-government insures the proper interpretation and spirit of the regula- tions drawn up by the administrators of the Hcademy and the Council. The primary purpose of the Student Council is to execute the rules of the school constitution. Since it is a Working organization, it can adapt itself to the progress made by an active student body. Hn example of this ability to adapt is the new method used to elect the Councils pres- ident. Formerly chosen by the members of the Council, she is now elected by the votes of all upperclassmen. The Council aims at coordinating the wishes of the faculty with the suggestions of the stu- dents in order to bring about a maximum of efficiency. The cooperation of the student body, however, remains the prime factor in maintain- ing the standards of the school.
