! I.V. g1rls dribble to even season The I.V. girls' basketball team consisted of only six players but they made up for their small numbers in perseverance and skill. Because of a great team effort, the I.V. ended with a 5-5 record. This year there was a new addition to the I.V. team. Chris Townsend, the new coach, made all the dif- ference nithe season. During the basketball season, one could see the girls practicing hard every day after school from 2-4 p.m. and on Sundays from 7-9 p.m. The team realized that all the hard practices and super Sprints paid off as they all joined the varsity team in the playoff game at Pon- tiac Catholic. The enthusiasm the girls' I.V. team displayed throughout the season shows that in the years to come they will develop into a winning varsity team.
