I :W if AMW Mind our business A one year business course at Lakes could turn in- to a lifetime career for students who try. This year's Typing I and II classes didn't have much space dur- ing the hour to goof off. Mr. McCandless was always busy teaching the students a necessary skill they will use for the rest of their lives. With his trusty tape recorder and business background, he faithfully taught his class day after day. In accounting, the students learned the valuable skills of balancing a budget and being able to fill out an income tax form. Practical matters like these were taught by Mr. Bronz. He's a newcomer to the Lakes staff but fits in perfectly. Drafting was taught by Mr. Gurk. Students learned how to do mechanical drawings and many types of designs and blueprints. Mrs. Losh taught shorthand to hopeful secretaries and to students who just want to take notes quicker and more efficiently. w, fi ,W -W4 0, fa -f an 7 W Aff, fc f f ..,-v- --.,m.,,,,,,W 0. G m and health team up fo Two gym teachers teamed up this year to help students learn that fun and fitness can work together. Mr. Bronz taught us how to keep in shape with a daily workout, as his second hour eighth graders discovered. Mr. Sioma, shared another year with us teaching team and individual sports and throwing in an occasional test to keep students on their toes. To eat or not to eat?', That is the ques- tion answered in Mr. Sioma's health class. We learned what foods are good for us and the structure and functions of the human body. We also learned emergency procedures for first aid.
