I I I I I E HAVE EMBARKED on a long and a somewhat difficult journey which will be as good and wonderful as we, ourselves, make it. The route on which we are to travel is entirely up to us-straight and true to its course of Purity and Good, or swerving dangerously over high precipices of Evil. Whichever it might be, may the Engine of Conscience and Common Sense keep us on the right track. May each bend and mile which lies ahead bring us to a knowledge of God and to a realization of His love for us, to a right choice in life, to a better understanding of human nature, and to a feeling of good will, so urgently needed in the world today. Let each turn of the wheels bring us closer to God and to His Home, the Final Stop, and prepare us' for the time when we step down from the Train of Life and meet our life's Engineer face to face. The Amarcmfb of 1949 will try to bring you some of the journey already covered and help you to remember how enjoya- ble it has been so far. May it also be a tribute to the Sisters of Saint Francis who have been an inspiration and a help in making the miles so short and yet so wonderful!
