Peg: riglsl Q 0 fig YI . 5 r I 'QL ls.. I I I I HERE IS ONLY ONE TIME when memory will function perfectly in every detail. That is the moment we close our eyes in death. Then we shall see once more in the twinkling of an eye every single thought, word, and deed of our life, and we will remember them as our very own! That may be fortunate or unfor- tunate, depending on what we have to remember! Accurate as our memory will be then, it is strange that it should be so erratic now. Likewise, it is strange that we can remember more tenaciously and clearly the disagreeable things than the gracious things! At times, this inability is an occasion for real regret, for joys are so fleeting that we would like to taste them all over again! Yet even this disappointing phenomenon is part of God's wise providence, for He would have us wait until eternity for the full attainment of our joy! Memory, then, is a tricky thing, albeit a wonderful gift of God. Let us hope that it will never fail when it comes to remembering that once upon a time you spent four Wonderful years in a school dedicated to Mary. XVhat made those years so wonderful was the fact that Mary was here in spirit! And memory performs its most comforting task when it reminds us that we mortal beings do have a Mother while we are in this vale of tears. Cause of Our JOY-U FR. EDWIN SCHICK, O.F.M. Chaplain.

Page len iislllllllllllls fn Zfze 4ielJ146iJin9 . . S shepherds Watching over their flocks to see that they are not devoured by the wolf, our pastors have helped us ward off the dangers of a godless education. The Catholic education they have so generously offered us and their in- terest in our welfare we shall long remem- ber. We can repay their kindness to us only by using to the best of our ability the ad- vantages they have given us. The balance with interest is paid to them in the next World. As sheep reward the shepherd with their simple gentleness, so, too, we reward our pastors with our simple THANK YOU.
