Graduation Ceremony At this point in our lives it is important for us, the senior class of 1985, to look back and be thankful. This graduation signi¬ fies more than just the end of our high school days-, it repre¬ sents accomplishment, success, and the completion of one phase in our lives. We have to think back to what brought us to this point. Who helped us? Who sup¬ ported us? Who made this pos¬ sible for us? The answer lies with our friends, who have made our high school days memorable, with our teachers who have instilled in us a re¬ spect for higher education and most importantly with our par¬ ents who with endless love and patience have helped us to ma¬ ture and grow into the young adults we are today. Now it is also time for us to reach out and give something back. Time to show our appre¬ ciation and prove our worthi¬ ness. Time to make a difference as the many people we have en¬ countered during these four years have done for us. The song, We are the World” was chosen as our class song be¬ cause of its message. As God has shown us that someone cares ”by turning stone to bread, so we all must lend a helping hand.” The Class of ' 85 is ready to put something good into this world. We will initiate a change towards better days and brighter futures. Ending one stage in our lives, we begin an¬ other by carrying with us all that we have learned and by us¬ ing all we have been gifted with to the best of our abilities. We are the world - it’s an awesome responsibility and challenge. But we can make the choice because you have been the world for us. Thank You.
