Homemaking Develops Individual skuis The general goals of the OHS Homemaking Department are to provide opportunities for development of the individual, improvement of family membership, growth in community, national, and world citizenship, and an acquisition of knowledge and skills that can lead to employment. The Homemaking Department meets these goals by offering a wide variety of courses. These include Homemak- ing. Clothing. Tailoring. Family Living, Housing and Managment, Foods, and Child Development. Most of these courses offer additional credits in advanced programs. The Co-Operative Education Program in the Homemak- ing Department is called HERO (Home Economics Related Occupatione). This program is designed for students interested in occupations in food service, household man- agement, child care, clothing, and family services.
