Perhaps the final preservation of the beauty and the bounty of the Earth will be left to our generation. Apparently bygone generations have essentially never felt so strongly. Only the poets, philosophers and a few others in the past have spoken of the dangers. E. B. White has said, “Our approach to nature is to beat it into submission. We would stand a better chance of survival if we accomodate ourselves to this planet and viewed it appreciatively instead of skeptically and dictatorially.” The Argus staff of 1972 decided to illustrate the beauty and wonder of our existence through the seasonal changes of our lives. From the beautiful autumn colors to the whiteness of winter and the awakening of spring we see students accomodating themselves to the surroundings which have been provided by nature.
