Mrs. Ben Ravitz, Mr. Frank Douma. BOARD OF EDUCATION MR. DOUMA Consisting of seven citizens who give of their time and talents, the Ottumwa Board of Education is continually working for the betterment of our school system. It is the responsibility of the Board members, who are elected for terms of three years each, to formulate the policies for the Ottumwa School system and to see that the youth of this ara receive the best education possible. By use of the authority to manage all finances of the district, to elect teachers, provide supplies, purchase sites and build schools, and make any rules and regulations it deems necessary, this group has enabled our schools to maintain a high place in education throughout the nation. We should be very grate- ful to these civic minded people whose untiring efforts have given us this splendid school that is ours in Ottumwa. Page 5
