Walter Walker President Vice-President Mariorib McGee Secretary Clark Phillips Treasurer igqS Adviser -Clifford Do lds “Always ready, never late. We’re the class of '48.” We, the members of the class of 1948, have at last reached our goal. Soon we shall re- ceive a diploma, a cherished symbol of high school life. As we l x)k back on our high school days, we remember the fun we have had working on such projects as the Junior Carnival anti the Junior-Senior Prom. The memories of his- tory, mathematics, and other classes and sub- jects necessary to reach our educational goal also flash before our eves. We must not lie unmindful of the excellent dramatic produc- tions, the victories in athletics, and the success of our music anti speech departments in which members of the class of ’48 have taken part. Some of our most cherished goals have been to Ik class valedictorian or salutatorian, a member of Torch Club, a class officer, a mem- ber of an athletic team or a participant in ex- tra-curricular clubs. We have produced out- standing students in all of these fields. We arc not forgetting the help of the mem- bers of our faculty who have so willingly guid- ed us through our three years at Ottumwa High School. Under the capable and willing guidance of our class officers and under the leadership of our class adviser, Mr. Clifford Dodds, we feel that we have attained a glori- ous ending to our three year high school career. Mr. Dodds has given freely of his time to help the students build more successful projects, attain higher goals, and prepare for their lives beyond high school. To him the class of ’48 extends a warm and heart-felt “thank you.”
