Penny, Harness, BottorfT, Wil- fortl, Babcock. More than just a name, the cafeteria is a place where the students assemble to eat and talk of the day’s hap- penings. Serving about two hundred fifty students daily, it is run on a non-profit basis. The delicious food has been carefully planned so there is a variation, yet it is nourish- ing and pleasing. It is a large task, but Mrs. Marie Bot- torlT and her staff have accomplished this successfully. The cafeteria makes a pleasant place for the students to eat their lunch, and they are proud of this room. Yes, the cafeteria is “for the benefit of all (). 11. Behind the scenes at Ottumwa High School, a group of custodians are continually at work. The students seldom notice or appreciate tlic results of this labor, but it immediately catches the eye of each visitor. We stu- dents are often inclined to think that the school just nat- urally stays clean. In reality the custodians of our school perform a great task which few could accomplish so suc- cessfully. Their work includes much more than merely caring for the school building. They operate the heating plant, take care of the grounds, anti do many different tasks; all of which tends to keep our school beautiful and attractive. Pack 17
