Luckily, the high points of the season were so memorable that they canceled the lows. Who could ever forget the 1981 Terror victory over archrival Port Allegany, the first victory over that team in years. The Homecoming game was with Bradford Central Christian. As the first snowfall of the year fell on the field and fans; victory cries rang through the air once again. The Terror defense held the Ramblers, 7-0. The last game was with Franklin-ville. The Terrors, with a season's experience behind them, won 27-7. Jim Skinner, a 6’1” 1901b. sophomore, was voted Most Valuable Defensive Player. Doug Cochran, who had been named Homecoming King the week before was the Most Valuable Player. The 1981 season will be remembered by everyone. The rain, the snow, the sunny afternoons will stay with us al‘ long after we leave school. The players will look back on mud, bright lights, and teamwork. Popcorn and blue and gold pom-poms will figure in the fan’s memories of hours spent cheering for the Terrors. Together, we rode that rollercoaster of victory and defeat. Players and fans alike will remember 1981, the rollercoaster season. Clockwise from above. Head Coach: Gene Fazio Captaina: bottom left-John Wilcox, bottom right-Boyd Fitzsimmons, top-Doug Cochran. Lights and Stats: back-Barry Foster, Diane Burgess, Yelonda Lace, Tina McLaughlin front-Ke-vin Schwab, Anita Schwab Note: Assistant Coaches, not pictured, are Jim Hess and Ralph Burton

Teamwork! Bottom to top, left to right. Row one- Tiffany McLaughlin, Sue Dittman, Lisa Danielson, Row two- Brenda Anderson, Linda Redmond, Julie Todd. Row 3- Carrie “Binks” Bhe, Amy Splain. Basket Case-Mary Kay Kerr. Clockwise from above. (1) Karen Kerr, smiling statistician, kept the 1981 Girl's Basketball records. (2) Captains Sue Dittman (left) are Julie Todd (right) are seasoned veterans of the basketball court. They have been team members since ninth grade. Dedication brought these girls to leadership positions on the Girls Basketball Team. (3) Coaches Kris-tan Marrone and Neil Roberts ran the team through their daily drills. DETERMINATION PUTS TEAM IN THE BASKET The Girls Basketball Team had a hard time of it in 1981. In the beginning, their path was fraught with errors, the opposition was tough. Midseason, the girls put it all together and won some games. Suddenly, they were a real basketball machine, well oiled and running smoothly. When that machine started up, there was no stopping it. This was particularly evident on Parent's night, when star senior, Sue Dittman made forty points. Sue’s effort not only won the game, it set the school record. The Terrors sailed past the Green Waves, 64-29. The team can be as proud of this season as they would be of an undefeated one. They started with many faults, recognized them, and with determination, finally conquered them. This was no easy task. It takes courage and teamwork to turn a season around. These 9 girls have hours of hard work behind them and a season to be proud of. GIRLS BASKETBALL
