Roland Modlln, Fred jones, Coach Fred Spence. The Varsity The Otters got off to a very slow start in the 1945-46 season dropping three out of five games. After their rather discouraging start, the boys gained con- fidence and under the leadership of husky Dafferv Trout and flashy Roland Modlin the team proceeded to make the rest of the season a shining success. After decisive victories over Newport, Clinton, Pimento, Riley, and Glenn, the Otters hit a low evening and lost to Brazil. In the Valley Tourney it was differentg the Hot Ottersu thumped F ontanet and Garfield, the defending champs. Tech expelled the Otters from the tourney after a hard fought game.
