Swan 61644 ww, In the fall of 1940 a timid class of sev- enty-one students entered the portals of the great institution of Otter Creek High School as freshmen. We elected the following stu- dents as class oflicersz Kathryn Riddle, Presi- dent, Mary Hurst, Vice-President, and Glenn Stultz, Secy-Treas. Norman Remington represented our class on the varsity basketball team. Our Fresh- ie boys were the winners of the inter-class basket-ball tournament, and the girls were forced to take last place in the girls tourna- ment. We were given a class party in the gym by Mrs. Abbott, our class sponsor. The following fall an enrollment of sixty three students, feeling more important as sophomores, elected the following for class officers: Bob Bryant, President, Walter Bram- ble, Vice-Presidentg and Glenn Stultz, Secy- Treas. As Sophies we enjoyed a successful year. Our boys again proved to be champs of the inter-class tournament, and the girls, improving rapidly, were runner-up in the girls' tournament. We were represented by two boys, Norman Remington and Bob Bry- ant, on the varsity team. We had a most enjoyable class party given by our sponsor, Miss Hughes. As juniors in '43, we were responsible for the annual prom. To finance it, we worked very hard selling candy and refreshments at noon. We also gave the Air Raid Revue. We were well represented on the varsity by six lettermen, namely, Norman Reming- ton, Bob Bryant, Don Smith, Bob Richard- son, Walter Bramble, and Jerry Neese. These members were responsible for a successful season. Our class officers were Don Smith, President, Walter Bramble, Vice-President, and Glen Stultz, Secy-Treas. We had an en- rollment of forty-five students. During this year our Student Council was organized, and our junior class was repre- sented by Kathryn Riddle, Don Smith, Don Mowery, and Glenn Stultz, fContinued on Page 26D Six
