Miss Sa nd ers-sch ola rl y, graeions and diligenl-n'as a most-lea rned member of the OTHS staff, yet she eontin ned her studies nnlil the year she retired. Indeed, she eonlinned after retirement. Doing her nndergradnafe work af Vassar and reeeiring her 1nasfer's degree from Colinnlna, Miss Sanders also studied af Norlhn'estern University, Oxford University in England, the Uniz-ersify of Illinois and the Un,iiz'ersify ofMe1fieo. To her classes, Miss Sanders brought a lore of arf and of literature and a respect for the English language--a lore and respeel she passed on fo her students. Wiih an avrersion fo boring routines, Miss Sanders was always looking fora neu' approach. She introduced our present program of senior plays, and her English classes published a literary magazine.
