exams. slum' inside special gifts. With the new year came time for semester exams. La- lioriously and thoroughly we reviewed the semester's works and managed---some how -to pass those January delights-mid-term examina- tions. Then, before long. it was state tourney time again. We proudly supported the Pirates as they eonquered all at Moi'- ris and I,a Salle. Also we fol- lowed them to Peoria and that heartbreaker with Spalding. During the regular season we had sold popcorn and pop to build elass treasuries. plan- ned Pep skits. marched in halftime shows. and played in the Pep Band. Before winter passed we presented our talent show and set an attendanee record tor the school clay when we per- formed at Streator High. Easter concert, llll-school play, truck Signs of spring told us that the end of another school year was not too far away. lVith the coming of Easter we pre- sented our sacred concert, with tableaux. We also par- ticipated in the district and state music contests. For the dramatic and RULLING alone to senior fun. speech-minded students, spring meant contest time and the all-school play. We'll al- ways remember This Way to Heaven and Mrs. McThing . Some will remember the long: hours of rehearsals. Others will recall the moments of en- joyment the plays provided. Spring was the time for Open House, as we were host to parents, friends, and eighth graders from Central. Also, it was Poseidon Ballet time. with its Palette of Mixed Emotions theme. For the competitive-minded it meant the end of another year of intramural activity and the time to clinch platoon honors. For GAA members it was tennis and golf action. ln varsity sports, spring brought action in track, tennis. and golf. Student Government Day gave some of us a chance to be on the other side of the desk. With the Spring Formal and the Prom we donned our best and danced in dreamland. All too soon Senior Day had gone and we were graduating. lil
