Paul C'hristiansen's Voncordia choir, sponsored by the UTIIS music department, was one ot' the high- lights for this year. Money earned from this and the choir's baked-food sale will help finance the choir's sum- mer trip the first two weeks ot Au- gust. The mixed choir in the state con- test sang its way to a superior rating for the third time under the direction of B. J. Muus. This year it won direct congratulation from the sight-read- ing judge. By placing first, the choir helped OTHS win the Class A cham- pionship and sweepstakes trophy for the second consecutive year. Choir: Class A Sweepstakes Winner A i'AI'PICLLA choir, composed ot' 8,1 members, began its schedule hy tirst having 45 of its members participate in the NCIC' music festival November 17 at Geneseo. Mr. Lloyd Pfziutsch. IQ. of I. choir leader, directed the festival choir of S100 mixed yoices from high schools in the north cen- trzd districts ot' Illinois. Come Let Us Adore Him , the theme from the annual Christmas concert, was presented December 19 and given in two concerts Decemlmer 21 t'or the public. Eleda Klugmun, Donata Ileiden- rich, Leroy Diem, Terry Lynott and Earl Heals represented the OTHS choir by participating in the all-state chorus in Springfield, Februzxry 5 and 6. The Plaster concert, Sing Ye To The Lord , was presented April 12- 14.
