for Tomorrow 'S Role as College Students HIGH SCHOOL for some OTHS stu- dents is a step toward higher educa- tion in the colleges of America. As a result, the Ottawa curriculum is de- signed to prepare that future college student for advanced training. Col- lege preparatory work is offered in the major areas of English, lan- guages, mathematics, social science and science. In addition, the OTHS testing and the guidance programs help each in- dividual to determine and to develop his abilities. Homeroom teachers work with the guidance director to achieve best possible courses of study for each student. home economics center is College interviews provide a ready access to information about various college programs. College counselors meet OTHS seniors to inform them of college programs, scholarships, etc. Occasionally, visits are paid direct- ly to the college campuses. Seeing for oneself is the best method, perhaps. Then, too, our teachers, everyday, inform us of current college trends in the programs they once went through. Furthermore, when Joe College , last year's senior, visits OTHS again, we learn of college life.
