High points in the season's campaign were victories over Dixon, 32-13, in the home-coming gameg Hall, 26-05 Streator, 26-13: and St. Bede, 38-6. Lead by Cocaptains Bob Gower and John Miner, the gridders faired none too well against crosstown rival Mar- quette, La Salle-Peru, Mendota, Ster- ling and DeKalb. Jim Bretag, senior halfback, was named most valuable player by his teammates. Jim led individual scorers with seven touchdowns and one point Jim Bretag John Miner Halfback Guard Most Valuable Co-captain after touchdown for a total of --123 points. Following Jim in scoring were Jerry Eichelkraut, Fred Martin, Jack Meckenstock and Duane Nusbaum, all with 18 points for the season.
