French Club When the French II students orgamzed a club last fall they tltled them selves Entre Nous which means Among Us They held meetings tW1C9 monthly durlng class hours The fifteen members planned Entre Nous as a servlce club as well as one for pleasure Through the year they raised funds bv means of dues a waste paper drive and sale of stuffed toys at Christmas tlme These funds together with material contrlbutlons enabled club members to pack boxes of food and clothing wh1ch they mailed to the Merllots an adopted family 1n a suburb of Metz France On May 23 Entre Nous and Inter Nos co operated ln holdlng an all school dance Of course every organizatlon has 1ts executlve board Here IS the one that led the Frenchwomen and man fslngularl both semesters Beverly Peterson president Mary Lee Patterson VICQ presldent and program chairman Gene Bartlett secretary treasurer Spanlsh Club Spanlsh club sponsored by Senorlta Mary Jane Mess started off wlth a bang on September 11 Officers elected at the first meetmg were Wayne Butterfield presldent Betty Halterman vlce presldent Thelma Kellogg secretary and Warren Klugman as treasurer to collect the dues of twenty five cents per semester The members enJ oyed themselves at a p1cn1c 1n the fall and soon voted to have Nlngun Chlcle be thelr handle At the meetlngs held the first Thursday of each month skits in Spanlsh dlscusslons on Mexico and games kept interest aroused On Aprll 18 the club carrled out the Pan Amerlcan day theme at thelr annual dance Here the large crowd witnessed the portrayal of the Raspa a Mexican dance in wh1ch the following couples took part William Klee and Thelma Kellogg Jack McG1ll and Charlene Bonges Wayne Butterfield and Barbara Irwln Warren Klugman and J eane Peter son Ed Brogly and Colleen Rellley 22 cc 11 - u 11 ' ' , . . . . . 0 , . . . . . 1 1 ' ' ' ' u 57 1 1 , . , . . 1 1 1 ' , , 1 - u I . . w . 1 1 1 1 1 ' 1 1 1 1 ' . . . .
