Pep Squad Pep squad that mlghty aggregatlon was thls year presxded over by Presldent Dede Godfrey x71C9 Pres1dent Elleen Chalus Secretary Beverly Hougas and Treasurer Helen Rubenaker Program chalrman was Helen Antrobus M1re1lle Schne1der and Shlrley Nelson were semor representa t1V8S Gilda Lenc1on1 Junlor representatlve and Judy Haverstock was there on behalf of the sophomores The pep squad sponsored by Mlss Glo Wllson was on hand at all the games to asslst the cheerleaders 1n yelhng for our favor1te team guess who CIVIC Councll At thelr organlzatlon meetlng the C1v1c Councll members elected George Grover chalrman Wllllam Klee v1ce chalrman Thelma Kellogg secre tary and Betty Halterman J eane Peterson Bob Langer and Duane Palmer to the executlve commlttee The whole councll meets every alternate Tues day at 3 20 Whlle the executlve commlttee meets every week A pop cooler was purchased for the coke bar and th1s found heavy use at the dances and after football and basketball games At the close of the fgrst semester the council voted to JOIH the Ill1no1s Assoclatlon of Student ounclls The second semester started w1th a new councll and sponsors Mr Merle Burke and Mr George Wllly reslgned after several years of falthful service The Job then went to MISS Edna Fellhauer and Mr MacRae Shannon who Wlth the new officers dld a fine Job and sponsored many act1v1t1es The new councll looked to Duane Palmer chalrman Bob Rlchey VICE chalrman Mary Burr secretary and Barbara Irwln Don Plerson Mary Cole and James Wllhelm on the executlve commlttee A maglc show was presented and S124 was ralsed for the Save the Chlldren Federatlon Tramp and Dress Up days were a blg success Open House and the dancmg 1nstruct1on 1n gym classes all backed by the COUHC11 weren t far behlnd ln the popularlty poll 20 - - . . 9 1 . - - . !
