1.- JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY lin I Although this Year Book is primarily concerned with the class of '22 it would certainly not be complete without at least a passing mention of the peppy class of,'23. I have had the responsibility of cnumerating a few facts about this class thrust upon me, and I am at a loss to know how to express my views in such a compact article. , Two fyears ago last September we entered the sacred portals of the Ottawa Township High School for the first time. We were probably as Hfreshl' as any Freshmen fexcept the present onesb have ever been. Gradually, however, we became more sophisti- cated, and by the time that spring had rolled around considerable activity among certain members of the class was noticeable. With semester exams. the school year ended, and the class of '23 was bap- tized as full fledged Sophomores. The next September found us once more in the old stand, but now we were organized under the able direction of Miss Baldwin, with the following results: President ....................... Leonard Logan Vice-President . . . .... Robert Bradshaw Secretary . ., .... ..... H erbert Wiley Treasurer ...................... Daphine Herrick Socially We developed somewhat, and the annual Sophomore party was given, and declared by all present an unqualified success. There were the ever-present stunts, dancing, refreshments and other entertainments for the class to gaze upon or participate in. The stunts were very good Cfor a class partyj, and all of the Jun- iors and seniors seemed to enjoy them. There were couple of plays and a couple of vaudeville acts. Dancing was the main feature of the evening. The eats consisted of ice cream, cake and balloons. The latter were by far the most important. We dispersed once more in June to enjoy again a three months' vacation. We are now down to the present school year. We came back in September and found ourselves dignified Juniors. We were not now parceled out among a flock of teachers, but we all assembled in No. 302 under the vigilant eye of Miss Wilson. The class soon organized and the following officers were elected: President ........................ Leonard Logan Vice-president . . . ..... Eugene West Secretary ........... , ................ John Jobst Treasurer ...................... David Bradford During October various members of the class busied themselves preparing for the annual Junior party.
