A dream, which actually comes true at Ames High School. It all begins because Principal Lundquist has to be away to speak at a Convention. Miss Dill, the school secretary, has a terrible cold and goes home for the day. Mr. Obermayer, Vice Principal, is confined to his bed with a high fever. Mr. Ames the school board president decrees a student council officer shall take over for the day. This is how Pamela jones becomes Principal! She gets off to a bad start when she trys to buzz for the janitor and rings the fire bell instead. Buzz, Bailey, acting vice principal advises a gossipy student that, There will be no more homeworklv Besides the many problems to solve with the teachers, students, and also the school play, Rusty Wingsv, the keys to the trunk of costumes are lost.
