Ottawa-Glandorf High School was built in 1964 through the joining of three elementary schools for a single high school education. Glandorf Elementary, right, Ottawa Public, below, and Sts. Peter and Paul, below right, all contribute students to make up OGHS. Since 1964, the school has grown not only in size, but also in academic and athletic excellence. On the opposite page is a picture of the twin elm tree which was located where the school is now. Beside that is our school mascot, the Titan. Dressed in the school colors of blue and gold, he symbolizes strength and character. Below the Titan Man is our school seal. Beneath the Eternal Flame of Learning, the seal is split into three parts by triangles which represent the three elementary schools. The book and quill stand for academics and the Olympic Wreath stands for athletics. The joined hands symbolize the unity which exists between the towns of Ottawa and Glandorf and within the school itself.

Right: Homecoming Queen, Wendy Meyer, was escorted across the field by seniors, Rich Luttfring and John Perkey. Homecoming Court 1981-1982 Nothing now is left But a majestic memory. — Longfellow This years' Homecoming parade and game took place on the week of October 15th and 16th. Spirits were high during the preceding weeks as classes began building floats in hopes of winning a prize. The theme for this year's float competition was ''Commercials,'' and those along the parade route were entertained with some quite imaginative entries. The Sophomores took first prize, while the Juniors stole second and the Seniors had to settle for third. During the parade, members of the volleyball team sold helium-filled balloons for their fundraiser. Last year's Queen, Gerri Gerdeman, returned to crown Wendy Meyer at the pre-game festivities. The Student Council invited all the past Homecoming Queens of Ottawa-Glandorf High School to be in the parade and participate in the pre-game gala. Unfortunately, our football team was defeated by the Defiance Bulldogs. The Homecoming Dance on Saturday night was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed dancing to the beat of the group, Showdown” and, in general, had a good time. 6
