In Memory of Jeffrey J. Ruhe Born: March 18, 1965 Died: December 8, 1981 A friend of ours is gone now He's in a place far better than this And now we must go on minus a friend. We ask ourselves and others why And many of us can't help but cry But not a single day goes by that we don’t think of him. Perhaps as time blurs our vision Of his memory, we still are satisfied That our lives are better Because we have known him During the short time he was in our midst. c 3 Jeff a student pilot, was also a member of DECA here at school.

Our memories of yesterday will last a lifetime. Styx — The Best of Times The Best of Times loas chosen as the theme of this year's Thunderbolt. At first it may not seem very appropriate, especially when you remember the day you broke the school record for most demerits by being late to class for the 15th time because someone stacked your locker. But when you think about it, you just might realize your days at 0-G were really The Best of Times. Remember what a great feeling it was to be on a Titan team or in our prize-winning band? How about cruising Main with the tunes cranked up, always on the lookout for a party? We hope in the years to come when you dust off the old yearbook it will bring all the smiles and good times a little closer. Ottawa-Glandorf High School was built in 1964 through the joining of three elementary schools for a single high school education. Glandorf Elementary, right, Ottawa Public, below, and Sts. Peter and Paul, below right, all contribute students to make up OGHS. Since 1964, the school has grown not only in size, but also in academic and athletic excellence. On the opposite page is a picture of the twin elm tree which was located where the school is now. Beside that is our school mascot, the Titan. Dressed in the school colors of blue and gold, he symbolizes strength and character. Below the Titan Man is our school seal. Beneath the Eternal Flame of Learning, the seal is split into three parts by triangles which represent the three elementary schools. The book and quill stand for academics and the Olympic Wreath stands for athletics. The joined hands symbolize the unity which exists between the towns of Ottawa and Glandorf and within the school itself.
