Students Exchange Cultures Keiko Kuroda I come from Nagano, Japan, wh ich is located at the center of Honshu, one of the four islands which make up Japan. My father is a biology professor, my mother a housewife and my brother is studying Japanese history at college in Tokyo. My host family is Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leopold. I enjoyed having a nice family like them. I learned many American customs. I want to study sociology or ethnology, making good use of this year's experiences. Jean-Jacques Haizmann (above) For the school year of 1981-1982 I was allowed to attend O-G High School. During that time of interesting experiences and fun, Mr. and Mrs. Don Lammers were my nice host family. Thanks to them. In Grenchen, Switzerland, my home town, my father is a manager of the technical department in a watch factory. My mother takes care of her large garden and our house. Sami Telama (below) My hometown is Jyvaskyla, Finland. My father, Risto, is a professor of physical education at the university and my mother teaches Phys. Ed. in high school. My brother, Ari, is attending college in Finland. My hosts were Keith and Patti Hohenbrink. I feel very lucky to have had such a nice home. I participated in Varsity cross country and tennis and went to state with Ottawa's CVO basketball team. I plan to be back in 1984 at the Los Angeles Olympics as an athlete, but I'll probably end up as a spectator.
