OTTAWA, OHIO 45875 VOLUME XIV After a seemingly short, but fun-filled summer, the 1977-78 school year began. Starting out with good intentions, we all set our own unique goals and hoped to work diligently to achieve these goals. With Freshmen frantically searching for classrooms and teachers gradually organizing assignments, O-G, once again, bustled with excitement and anticipation for yet another successful year. For the second straight winter, Ottawa-Glandorf and almost the entire Eastern United States was hit with paralyzing blizzards. Due to the hazardous weather conditions, O-G closed its doors for a total of eighteen days. Also, the Titans made their second consecutive appearance in the State Basketball Tournament. By publishing this book, we hope to touch your memory and begin the reminiscing of these, and all the events that highlighted the 1977-78 school year. Remember. . . . . .the Freshmen searching for classrooms, meeting new friends, and adjusting to high school life? . . .the Sophomores ordering and receiving their class rings, becoming more involved in school activities, and gaining a sense of belonging to O-G? . . .the Juniors, finally classified as upperclassmen, growing in knowledge, and earning the experience necessary for the senior year and years to come? . . .the Seniors, seemingly always busy studying, working, or practicing, leading the rest of the students of O-G in the various organizations? Each and every one of the students of Ottawa-Glandorf contributed to the school in their own special way making the 1977-1978 school year complete. AGNER. LAURIE — Basketball 1X3; Track. KUHLMAN BUILDERS 189 As the school year ended and the doors of O-G closed for the summer, each person stepped out with a sense of accomplishment. Whether it was knowledge gained, an athletic achievement, or a friendship made, we all knew that every effort was worthwhile. Throughout the year we reached many of our goals. Some goals were never reached. However, success is not achieving every goal. Success is knowing you gave completely, 100%, to try to achieve the goal. For the 171 graduating Seniors, leaving O-G meant a big change in our lives. Equipped with the knowledge attained in the past four high school years, we are ready to go out and make our mark on the world, either by working or continuing our education. No matter what we choose to do, we will always remember the things we did and the friends we made. We will always be thankful for the opportunities and the unselfish help offered at Ottawa-Glandorf High School. Autographs
