Table of Contents Those Who Led Us......150 Those Who Supported Us .....................164 As the school year began in September of 1974, everyone was filled with anticipation and enthusiasm. We had just finished a carefree summer filled with fun and excitement, and most of us were looking forward to working again. We were ready to go and anxious to talk with each of our friends once more. We knew that the teachers would take it easy with us for about the first week because we weren’t familiar with the new classes or with all of the new teachers. After the first week, they would really pile on the homework and assignments—we knew from experience. The work would continue until the very end of school—final exams. Hut, actually, we didn’t care. We wrere ready for school, and we were going to make the most of it. Everyone remembers. It seems like only yesterday in our “bottle of memories.” mm Remember the student body? They were amazingly friendly. We could walk down the hall and see everyone smiling as we walked past. In the halls, we would be rushing to our classes, but we would never be in too much of a hurry that we couldn't riui over to someone else’s locker and spill the latest gossip on them. In the cafeteria or gym everyone talked and had a good time. Some kids liked to play cards during lunch while others engaged in a game of dodge ball—seniors against everyone else. Everything we did together as the 0-G Student Body brought us closer together in friendships. Who We Are Remember When We Wrote ’75 On Everything? The band represented us at the Ohio State Fair and brought home an excellent rating. In May, two hands along with Folk Group and Chorus put on an excellent program at Cabaret. The Concert Band and Wind Fnsemble both brought back superior ratings from district, and many of the groups brought superior ratings home from Contest. The band works very hard to reach such high goals. They are always practicing. They meet every day 9th period, every Tuesday night, and many summer mornings. These kids show the effort and determination needed tor a good music department. Nearly every teacher has his special trait by which he will lie remembered. We should create a Teacher’s Hall of Fame. In it would go such things as Mrs. Meyer’s stop watch, all of M iss VanLandingham’s application forms, and a book containing Mr. Nien-berg’s daily sayings. We would also include Mr. Barlage’s straight edge, Mrs. Brinkman’s desk, and the decorations from Mrs. Hannon’s room. We’re going to remember our teachers—our friends—not only by their trademarks, but by all they did for us. They deserve our thanks, and we’re going to miss them. We could walk into almost any store or business place and see one of our classmates or friends working. The businesses helped our school in another way, too. We were seldom given no for an answer when one of our school groups or organizations asked for donations. Some funds for the Titan Courier, the Thunderbolt, and the “George M” programs came from the people downtown. These people helped us whenever they were asked. Some of us have walked out for the last time, while others still have another year. Regardless of who we are, we know we’ll remember high school. Some of us may think it was a waste, and that the years have gone up in sinoke, but we all know high school was worth our while. If nothing else, we gained many friendships and memories. There are so many ways we can remember our school, and we should be proud of it. O-G is a great school, and the students are what make the school what it is. When everyone cares and works to make the school year a success, we know we’ll always remember Ottawa-Glandorf High School. Becky A. Iloehn Editor 183 Autographs
