MAY 26th BRINGS GRADUATION CEREMONIES FOR CLASS OF 1968 I’ve reached the finale of a high school life. I’m sitting in the gym, dressed in a cap and gown, Listening to the honorable guest speakers . . . I feel a little uncomfortable, a little anxious. If I start thinking, I’ll probably become frightened. My mind wanders somewhat— Back to a year of wonderfid memories— Ahead to an unknown future. Graduation means goodbye— To school spirit. Senior parties, Games, and record hops— To a high school routine and superiority. It means a new way of life, A bridge to opportunity and happiness. Four Years at O-G Foretells Success Seniors fill the seats for the last time. Ruth Kaufman receives her diploma. On May 26, 1968, 131 Seniors received their diplomas. Two precedents were set at this commencement as the members of the Class of 1968 were the first to complete all four years in the building, and the commencement exercises began at 3 p.m. rather than at 8 p.m. as in the past. Sandra Drcrup happily receives her diploma from Mr. Robert Weis, President of the School Board. 30
