How many of you were tardy this year? And were any absences felt? Or is it that the time in school is as the snow that melts. Each year brings another Spring, and later there's the Fall. . . . Have you lived any real commitments. or made none at all ? [ust a portion of your life you spend in these very special days. They arc our gift to you in helping point the ways — that your ship of life may sail a fairly steady course and looking back from distant seas you’ll have no sore remorse . . . nor sentiments of things not done, and energies ill-spent. For in these wonder, formative years you’re learning self-intent. The greater task has always been — do the best that you can do. It’s a habit first, then an attitude, belonging just to you. Though often easy to shirk the load, to drag your feet, or wait . . . . . . it’s a sorry person who settles for something less. M rs. Morman Mrs. Smith Secretaries The special school jjersonnel of O-G is composed of a small group of hard working people who perform a number of different jobs. These “women behind the scenes” make sure that our high school runs smoothly and efficiently. Surely these people deserve the cooperation and appreciation of the students for making the school a comfortable place to be. M rs. Siebeneck 7 Mrs. Brinkman

In an ape when dissent is prevalent, when civil disobedience is the rule, when moral values arc questioned and “God is dead ’ — you pupils of OGHS are to be commended. Your conduct in school and your sportsmanship at extra-curricular activities have drawn unsolicited praise from educators and lay citizens who have come into contact with you. You are not pupils preparing to live as law-abiding citizens. Rather, vou are currently living as law abiding citizens in your school life. When others are attempting to “drop-out of society and destroy the home, the church, the school, and the nation;— you are “dropping-in” to the mainstream of society and strengthening these institutions. To you seniors, I thank you for your leadership and ask that you continue to lx builders in your new roles after graduation. To you underclassmen. I only ask that you follow in the footsteps of the alumni who have worked hard to make OGHS the prestige school it has become in four short years. Leslie Ratliff, Superintendent Members of the Ottawa-Glandorf School Board arc: Virgil Ellcrbrock, Vice-President; Robert Veis, President; Carl Frick. Clerk; Alan Klemrn: Tom Studer: James Hermiller; and Superintendent Leslie Ratliff.
