Mrs. Alice Deffenbaugh Commercial University of Toledo, B. S. Mrs. Alice Deffenbaugh came to O-G from Toledo at the beginning of the second semester to replace Mrs. Dorothy Roose. The Commercial Department has gained much from her teaching and helpful advice. Janitor Mr. A1 Dunn Thecooksare: Mrs. MargaretRoof, Mrs. EdnaFortman, Mrs. Bertha Morman, Mrs. Gladys Maidlow, and Mrs. Lenore Goecke. Mrs. Virginia Wilson was absent. Janitor Mr. William Doepker The office assistants are: Jim Heringhaus, Bill Kreinbrink, Ned Roeder. Mark Bollinger, Diane Ashton, Bev Beckett, Becky Miller, Virginia Vollmer, Bernadette Beckman, Barb Meyer, Pam Feicht, Margie Karhoff, Linda Hermiller, Ruth Stoephel.

Mr. James Hays Distributive Education Findlay College, B. S. Miss Theresa Macke Home Economics Mount St. Joseph’s College, B. S. Mr. Dennis Price Art and History Dennison University B. A. Under the guidance of Miss Theresa Macke, the girls of Ottawa-Glandorf High School are learning the fundamentals of home-making. A new course has been added to the curriculum this year for those senior girls who plan to enter college and have no time for regular home economics courses. This class deals with the understanding of basic skills of sewing and cooking. The Art Department, headed by Mr. Dennis Price, includes the Art I, II, and III classes and the Art Club. Students learn various artistic skills such as copper enameling, oil painting, and pottery making, and advance each year while learning to use their talents and express themselves constructively by making useful and attractive projects. Distributive Education is a program of instruction in the area of distribution and marketing. It is designed to develop in each student a business attitude toward his job and customers so as to enable him to more adequately cope with everyday problems. Mr. Max Grady Studying under the University of Toledo extension service, Vocational Education Mr. Thomas Weber Industrial Arts St. Joseph’s College, B. S. Mr. Gerald Weis Industrial Arts B.G.S. U., B.S. Mr. John Moening Auto Mechanics Studying under theUniversity of Toledo extension service. Vocational Education. The Industrial Arts Department gives boys a chance to work with their hands and learn the fine techniques needed to make them skillful woodworkers. Electronics classes give boys a chance to understand the working of electronics and to utilize its energies. The Auto Mechanics Department prepares boys for a job after they finish high school. The high school offers two years of training in automotive skills.
