PROPdhCY It is now nineteen hundred HUG sixty five The war is over and we are back to normal peace times again. Many people are travellng to var'1us parts of the country A few of these include Mr and Mls Melvin W Torrey, formerly of the state of Kansas Mr and Mrs Torrey have retired from teaching and now reside in Northern Montana Mrs Torrey, who is interested in music, wishes to visit New York City They decide first to spend a little time in good old Kansas and visit their daughter who is now teaching at the University of Otis located at Ot1 , Kansas While waiting in Cheyenne, Wyoming, for the next train, two handsomely dressed cowboys come to meet them To their surprise it is Herman Anderson and Lgnn Keller, former graduates of O R H S Herman and Lynn are now in partnership and run a cattle ranch in Wyoming Upon the Torreys arrival at Otis, they are greeted by the depot agent who is now Merle Lebsack Otis 1sn't at all the town it used to be back in the forth decade of nineteen hundred The population has increased to about ll,OOO As they drive down main street, Mr Torrey notlces a slgn on a grocery store saying nBrack and Brack Inc ' Upon inquiry it is found that Darlene A Brack and Dolores Brack are the owners of this establishment After spending three weeks nn Oti they plan to co to S Louis where they will tact a olane to CTICRQO They are delayed a half fouis so they dec'de to go visitlrg When lr Forrey ke up the telephone to call one of his former h gr sc val students he reco nizes the onerator's voice as that of Margaret Lebsack In a few moments Mr Torrey ls ta H to Arthur Dletz who now lives with his wlfe on a la O acre farm near St Louis That afternoon Mr and Mrs Torrey depart for Clicago on a plane A Stewardes comes from thc front of the plane and to their surprise it is Rosie Glei ner She tells them that she now lives in Michig n Wltq her husband who 13 an Admiral in the Navy One day, in Clic go, Mrs Torrey picked up a nevs paper She notes on the editorial page, the manaaer's name, Harold Wagner he is the manager of the Ch1C9gO Daily Tribune When traveling through Pittsburg, Penn sylvania, Mr and Mrs Torrey meet a Red Cross Nurse at ll 'V S J.
