Class Prophecy The ye-ar is now 1976 and, within the twenty years since. 1956, Science has taken over the world. Scientists have made a world that is completely controlled by the atom . Everything is done by a slight touch of a button. They have also discovered methods of communing with the outer worlds. At the present time the U. S. Government has de- cided to send a Space Ship to Mars with some of the top specialists of the different professions in the U. S. The purpose of this expedition is to study and exchange cultures of the two worlds. I'm Betty Vicini, news reporter for the New York Times in New York City . My assignment is to interview the passengers who will go on this trip to Mars. Oh! It's 7 A. M . That leaves only two hours for me to get over to the Space Ship Depot and ask the passengers a few questions about their adventure. I'm now standing outside the Space Ship Marcip and some of the passengers are coming up to board the ship. We'll talk to a few of these persons as they pass by me. The first gentleman we see is Dr. Donald D. Ourth, M. D. , and with him is his assistant nurse, Shirley Hotek. What do you think of this trip , Doctor? Well, Ithink that it's just grand , and I believe that we shall come back with valuable information for our world, not only in medicine, but in all professions. The next two persons are very notable to all the professions. They are Ronny Hotek , Artist and Joyce Peterson, Metropolitan Opera Star. These next two gentlemen are Chalres Volf, Agricultural Director of Iowa State College, and Willie Swanson, Professor of Engineering at Louisville University. Coming up now is a very attractive lady. Your name , please? Karen Hudson. I'm a secretary for Senator Wallace, from Ohio. Next? I'm Colleen McCarty, food nutri- tionist for Conrad Hilton Hotels . The time is very short now, so we must ask very quickly the name and occupations of this last group of people. They are Don Halllgan, who is a Student Lawyer at Vermillion, South Dakota: Darlene Buffinton, Graduate Beau- tician for a school in New York , and now make-up artist for M . G.M . Studios in Holly- wood. American Interpreter for United Nations is Bula lean Slotten and Gene Leonard, an Atomic Scientist. Well, so long everybodyp the unknown awaits us.
