wiv Gina Future Farmers of America The FFA has been very actnve this year They have farmed 50 acres of 76 acre umt for the frrst trme On the umt they rarsed alfalfa potatoes beans oats barley wheat and mtlo The profrt from these crops were put mto a sprmkler system for the farm They have sponsored a Donkey Basketball and an annual Harvest Ball which was a fxrst m O H S They have a chapter Sweetheart who was selected for the fnrst txme as Queen of the Harvest Ball They had the concesslons at the Rodeo and held a spring barbeque The chapter sponsored a basketball team whrch was made up of chapter members They had their mltlatxon and advancement ceremomes where 16 boys were mmated The chapter has partxcnpated nn Publlc Speakmg contests Parlxamenrary Pro cedure contests and judgmg at the Fanrs and Contests They elect thenr offlcers each sprung and offlcers of thrs year are as follows Presx dent Dale Bayley Vnce Presldent Larry McCourt1e Secretary jnm Browmng Treasurer K Barley Sentmel Roger Howe The annual FF A Banquet was held February 70 where the awards were presented The quest speakers were Dr Al Shaw who headed a Paknstan Educatxon program One of the outstandmg proyects was 50 head of fat steers handled by Davxd Yorgesen The chapter lS attemptmg to mn the top award of 139 chapters m the state wh1ch rs Star Chapter of Washnngton Page 47
