STUDENT COUNCIL Top row, left to right: Mr. Stemen, Janice Kanenwisher, Judy Cox, Audrey Haight, Doreen Hoehn, Shirley King, Phyllis Hays, Joan Beebe, and George Leighton. Bottom row, left to right: Rex King, Larry McCourtie, Farrel Stephens, Richard Barrie, Bobby Vietzke, Fritz Kliphardt, and Harold Beebe. ACTIVITIES The Student Council started the normal school year by electing Phyllis Hays, President: George Leighton, Vice Presidentg Janice Kanenwisher, Secretary, Joan Beebe Treasurer. Then the student councilwent to work to try to get transportation for the girls to the athletic events. The 'lth and 8th grades and the Lettermen's Club presented their new constitutions. It was then suggested that the school children clean up the yard, approved was a Girls' Club party for the school. Next was the Courtesy Contest. Then Mrs. West was decided on as annual advisor, and a schedule and an agenda for the coming school year were voted on. To get more spirit in school they drew up an assembly schedule for' the whole school. They also tentatively made plans for activity tickets next year.
