Twelve long years ago one of the most contaminated groups that ever forced its way through the doors of Otego Central School began a reign unequaled in the annuals of the school. Our initial teacher was Mrs. Hamilton, who taught us about many of the wild animals that were running around at that time. Mrs. Haynes was our teacher as we continued our journey into Second Grade. Sam Jackson, better known as Handsome Sampson joined us during this period. Through the Third Grade, we were guided along by Miss Jester. We learned some about arithmetic, reading, and spelling in her class. Onward into the Fourth Grade and finally into the Fifth Grade we marched, picking up along the way Joe Veen, the greatest window-smasher and teacher-scarer this side of Kalamazoo. Mrs. Tuttle, our efficient and quiet Fifth Grade teacher, but our guard- ian, also. During our stay in this grade, Larry, Smi1ey Utter and Switchblade Kathy joined our masses. ' Miss O'Brien was blessed with us in the Eighth Grade. Since she was Irish, we tested her allegiance every March 17 by wearing orange. A rowdy and boastful group we were as we marched along into the Ninth Grade. Mr. Sears, a well-liked and intriguing teacher cooled us off and became our class advisor. During this era, Marty Thorsland and Ken Fredenburg, better known around the school as MADS began decorating the school's blackboards with idiotic faces and pictures. For our Junior Year, we planned for almost a half a year to have everything just right for the night of the Junior Prom, We chose our theme to be the Isle of Capri and the Four Coachmen supplied the music. Frank Burnside and Kathy Utter were cho- sen as King and Queen. The court for the queen was Sylvia Burchhardt and Priscilla Crawford. The King's Pages were Bruce Greene and Bill Groves. Junior Marshals for the class of '57 were Jan Hotaling, Martin Thorsland, Ernie Fankhouser, and Sam Jackson. Heap Big Cake , our Senior Play was a huge success. It was directed by Mrs. Groves and it provided a substantial amount of money for the Senior trip. Thus ends my account of the Histroy of the Class of 1958. We are now up to the present. We will never forget our Senior year and the Senior Trip to New York City and Washington, D. C. With the urging and advice of Mr. Bonner, our Senior Class Advisor, we hope to graduate and to pass out into the world as mature young men and women. 611155 IM!! M, to Louie Garrison. CAROLE R. - leaves her quietness to Linda Maerz, and her long hair too. DON V. - wills his hair to Mr. Sears. E FRANK B. - wills his good eyesight to Earl M. and Sharron to no one. LARRY U. - leaves his soberness to Nancy Knight. BOB T. - leaves his height to Alfred Wilbur. BOB S. - leaves his muscle building kit to Bob Lent. KEN F. - leaves his MADS and HUM'BUGS to Mrs. Pickett. NICK S. - leaves his nickname tarzan to Mike O'Mara. GORDON B. - leaves his muscle course to Bob Lent and his dual carbs to Sonny H. JERRY F. - leaves his motorcycle jacket to Bill Rosia. ERNIE - leaves his unused pencils to Steve Butler because they will stay that way. BRUCE N. - leaves his glasses to Earl M. and his gift to gab to Bob D. SAM J. - leaves his ability to read to Charlotte Diffendale. DONALD A. - leaves his smooching corner in the hall to Mrs. Reeves. DAVID D. - leaves his honor marks to Lee Elander. BILL G. - leaves his camera to Jim V. and his curly hair to John P. MARTIN T. - leaves his right to draw in class to anyone who has the ability. JIM B. - leaves his right to sleep in class to anyone who can sleep and pass too. ROGER W. - leaves his right to play the guitar with the MacDees to Charlie Robinson and his car to Steve Bump. BRUCE G. - leaves his ability to get along with everyone to Wayne Earl and his red hair to Mr. Bonner. To the Juniors the Senior Class leaves its pesty ways and broken lockers. To the Sopho- mores we leave the strength to endure the next two years. To the Freshmen we leave the thought that nothing is more fun than your next three years will be. Work hard, it's worth it! To Mr. Bonner we leave a new Toupee and a bottle of Geritol. To the school we leave our thanks for an excellent education and for memories of the best years of our lives. We've enjoyed it.
