The Juniors came in second with their portrayal of We'll Lick 'Emf' Earlville was a peppermint ice cream cone being licked by a moving tongue of an Oswego football player. This was an outstanding and alluring float. ...,f, J, s tlv A very cute skunk resting on a bed of 75' uw' 'A 1, ,ai yr 4 t ' leaves was the Sophomore entry. The entire skunk was made of chicken wire, stuffed with napkins in the typical black and white arrangement. To complete its life-like features there was a spray of fiour.

' ' es' ,fi Q ,Mk HOMECGMI G From October 14 to 16, the school was a scene of pep rallies, parades, a football game and dance. On Thursday night, October 14, many enthusiastic high schoolers turned out for the huge bonnre and snake dance. Coach Hasenyager and Coach Pickerill gave very inspiring talks to help pep up the boys. The Wel- come mat was rolled out for returning alumni who turned out to help cheer on their Alma Mater. Early Friday morning, busy decorators rolled out of bed to finish their Hoats in hopes of winning first place in the float contest. At 2:30 p.m. the parade moved slowly through town, its destination being the football field. The climax of the celebration was the dance at which the king and queen were crowned. l The Senior Class won the float con- test with O.H.S. Coaches Victory, a huge pink coach made from chicken wire, stuffed with pink sprayed nap- kins. The windows and lettering were of gold foil and the doors and huge wheels were trimmed with purple crepe paper. The coach rested upon an arrangement of purple paper. The Seniors are to be commended for their K ,Oi fine work on this excellent float.
