'3' b V I ' Qi WHEN, as Freshmen of 1952, we began with forty-three students. The elected officers werrf - - t-Glenn Leifheit, Vice President- Barbara Schultz, Secretary-Treasurer-Sharon Ross, Stu- dent Council Representatives-Jerry Meetz and Dick Campbell. The class sponsor was Miss Faye Miles. The Freshmen class had many students participating in extra-curricular activities. There were two girls out for cheerleading and many freshmen boys out for all the sports. There were also many participating in band, glee club, and special music groups. We chose 'The Little Red School House for the Junior Frolic play. The cast was Barbara Schultz David Gengler, Shaaron Lippold, Geri Jump, Glenn Leifheit, Beverly Kanning, Arlo Bower, Dolores Zent myer, Earl Falk, Carol Jonker, David McCauley, Elaine Matile, Gerald Testin and Alice Essenpreis. Th theme for our homecoming float was Recipe for Vi ctory. F.F.A. and G.A.A. initiations were the humorous highlights of the year. The boys, Dressed as farmers, Carried milk pails and gave candy to the F.F.A. mem bers. The girls wore their clothes inside out and back- wards. We were all saddened by the death of Billy Kellogg, an active member of our class and other school organizations. He is missed by all. K I REMEMBER WHEN, as Sophomores, we had Mr. lftner as our Advisor. Beverly Kanning was elected as President, David Gengler as Vice President, Elaine Matile as Secretary-Treasurer, and Jerry Meetz and Glenn Baker as Student Council Representatives. Our entry in the Boat contest had the theme of O.H.S. Takes the Cake. Foxy Grandma was our Junior Frolic play this year. The cast consisted of Janet Vinson, Roger Schlapp, Shaaron Ross, Arlo Bower, David Gengler, Gerald Testin and Elaine Matile. Our class was again well-represented in all the extra-curricular activities. Janet Vinson and Sharon Ross represented the class on the cheerleading squad. I REMEMBER WHEN, as Juniors, we began the class year with thirth-five members. We elected the following class officers: President-Mike Kontos, Vice President-Dick Campbell, Secretary-Irma Voorheis, Treasurer-Glenn Leifheit, Student Council Representatives-Gerald Testin and Glen Baker. Our sponsor was Mrs. Pickerill. We tied for first place in the Homecoming float contest. Our theme was Pearl of O.H.S. The annual project for the Junior Class, the Junior Frolic, was very successful. The Magazine Sale, sponsored by the Junior Class in cooperation with the Curtis Publishing Company, proved very successful. Our goal was 31,500 and the super goal was S2,000. High salesmen were Arlo Bower, Glenn Leifheit, Leonard Burkhart, Roger Schlapp, David Gengler, Judy Behrens, Loretta Johnson and Elaine Matile. Everyone who sold ten subscriptions received an identification bracelet. The drawing for the wrist watch was won by Kay Eichelberger. Our Junior-Senior Prom was the most memorable event of our high school career. The theme was f Neptune's Palace. f I REMEMBER WHEN, as Seniors, we elected Gerald Testin as President, Dick Campbell as Vice Pres- ident, Irma Voorheis as Secretary, Elaine Matile as Treasurer, and Glenn Leifheit and Barbara Schultz as Student Council Representatives. Mrs. Pickerill was chosen our class advisor. Dick Campbell was chosen Student Council President this year. King and Queen for the Homecoming Dance were Glenn Baker and Elaine Matile. The King's attend- ants were Dick Campbell and Brad Smith. We won the Junior Frolic with our entry Great Smokiesf' The cast included Mike Kontos, David Gengler, Dick Campbell, Brad Smith, Irma Voorheis, Janet Vinson, Carol Jonker, Elaine Matilehandx Sharron 'f 1. i Lippold. ,,,..l 1 ,..ili 1135, XAXVANA ' Cheerleaders from the Senior Class were Janet Vinson and Elaine Matile. ,,,,,.,, .IW ,,.. .........,, , WWW The class colors chosen were maroon and white and the motto was Success cond' N ,,,.
