Mr. Howard Gustin Oswayo Valley High School students are indebted to the efforts of the Board of Education. As members of the senior class, we realize the importance of the decisions of this organization. Their dedication to the betterment of our high school, their inter- est in the student body, and their sound judgment has been beneficial to all concerned. The concern for democratic decisions and the influence displayed by this part of our school system has revealed a worthy example of American principles - an example that we are proud to follow. To each individual member and to the Board of Education as a whole, we, the senior class, wish to extend our gratefulness for their support and interest in student activities. JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL The junior high basketball team was organized under the supervision of Mr. Gibson. Tryouts were held in November, and fourteen boys were chosen from the prospective players. Their playing season during the first semester was very successful, for the team won over fifty per cent of the scheduled games. This group of basketball players seems to be very promis- ing, and the team deserves an added cheer for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm. N Y. JK n 57 TJ! , , ' f- W G zu' All mme! Who, me? N 1 X, t TERROR AT BLACK OAKS Whal Bonnie and Flo an-tved at Black Oaks for the read- ing of Uncle Algemon's will, the found Rusty and Hank just leaving, for they had been attacked by the mentally tmbalanced son of the housekeeper. But Rusty - after seeing Bonnie - decided to stay, Aunt Clarissa, cousin Ted, who is an escaped convict, and Mildred all squabbled for the inheritance. In the swift action that took place, Clarissa was murdered and Bonnie became the sole heir. With the help of Bonnie and Flo, Ted tried to get the truth out ofhis sister, Mildred, whose testimony convicted him as guilty, but just at their moment of success, Ted and Bonnie found themselves facing the gun of the killer. Kate, the understanding mother, Scott Radford, a lawyer, Dave Edwards as a crime writer, and Julie, the ten year old spoiled brat, managed to add variety and laughs to the well- written script. In spite of the mysterious actions that took place, every- thing turned out fine, and Terror at Black Oaks ended with everyone happy. .X ,Q ix 67 5 FRESHIVIAN INITIATION 'F. F. A.
