The award was based on the characteristics of thoughttulness, sports- manship, unselfishness, and sense ot humor. GUILIA BRYANT was the winner of Ossian's annual American Legion Oratorical contest for 1954-55. The title of her speech was, The Constitution-Guard ian of the People's Rights. On February IO, Guilia also won the county contest. ' '74 . . .gr rf 54413- KN 'xl Our D.A.R. Good Citizen award for 1954-55 was giv- en to CAROL MYERS. Carol was chosen because of her dependability, service, lead- ership, and patriotism. BONNIE FOLLIS received the American Legion Good- tellowship for the girls at the end of the school year of 1953-54.
