Still Life Still Life, by Emily Mann, was chosen as this years One-Act Competition Play. It is about the effect that the Vietnam War had on three peopleis lives. Advisor, Ms. Laura Wills chose this play because of its anti-war theme. After auditions were held, three actors were chosen for the cast. All three actors are seniors at Osseo Senior High School. Scott Jauman played Mark, ex-Marine, Vietnam Vet, and artist. Kathy Knutson portrayed Cheryl, Markis wife. Mari Schindele played Nadine, Markis friend, divorcee, and mother of three. The production staff included one teacher and two students. Ms. Wills was the director. She had been involved in tiDiamond Studii, iiGodspellii, and ttGuys and Dolls, over the last three years. Wade Kantor was responsible for technical direction. J unior, Kelly McGuire, was the productions student director. This year our school came in second place for the regional meet. Kathy Knutson has been involved in drama and play productions since she was a sophomore. Mari Schindele has been devoted to the drama department since her sophomore year also. Both are involved with a theatrical group and present their productions to different groups of people. They perform as far away as Hastings as well as in Osseo and Maple Grove. They plan to continue their drama activities after they graduate from high school. Top Left: Scott Jauman, portraying Mark, explains how the Vietnam War influenced his life. Cupid Loves On! uItis time to get embarrassed? is just one short way of summing up this years Valentines Day. Presented by the National Honor Society. Roughly over 3000 valentines were delivered with a song and a kiss to friends, lovers, and faculty. For 25e, humiliation to that 0someone special was made possible. It was a fun experience for the NHS crew and they hope everyone had a Happy Valentines Day! Top: Dave Anderson and Chris Fair in a warm Valentine embrace.
