This year a new method of selecting King and Queen was introduced. After the football team had chosen five boys to be on the royalty each of the boys asked a girl to be his date. The week prior to Homecoming, the student body cast penny votes for their favorite couple. At the pep meeting on Friday each queen can- didate received a box with a colored rose in it. fabovej The girl receiving the odd-colored rose then knew she and her escort were King and Queen. Dawn Lee and Randy Abrahamson were this year's honored couple. frightp At the dance the royalty posed for a picture in front of the football centerpiece. fbelowj The theme song Halfway to Paradise, aptly described the evening for which the Inmates provided music.

Our marching band got the parade off to a good start. Qupper rightj We're Aiming for a Victory was the slogan of the sophomore float. fabovej Our parade was lengthened this year by the addition of floats by two organizations, the F. H.A. and the G. L.C. Mix it Right, We'l1 Win was an appropriate theme for the F.H.A. float.
