It has been the purpose of the Stajf in compiling this issue of the Index, to create a book which shall serve as a medium of friend- ship among its readers. If the perusal of its pages shall at any time inspire in its readers a desire to form new friendships and remain more loyal to those already formed, we shall feel that our purpose has been accomplished.
