At the earlier part of the evening the students were 2 V i f rushing about selling tick tsto help elect their candidate for queen. 5 A Q Q At 9:30 the crowd gathered in the auditoriuntn see the crowning 7 E of the queen. It had been a merry race --- the Juniors winning with 3 5 their candidate, sweetand modest Mary Anne Toalson, escorted byhand- Q c g 2 sore Dwayne Eldridge. The other candidates were Nano' Calvird,senion 4 Jw' '53 '5 escorted by Lee Gilbert. Ardith Lciber, sophomore, escorted by Tommy 5 1 Jw F 9 E Harden. Barbara Murray, freshmen, escorted by Joe Shelby. The whole N '- 'Sl ,-Q ' ,VI 5 school cheered as Dwayne placed the crown on Lary Anne's head, be- Q ii J cause she did indeed make a lovely queen.
