A bus was chartered for the day, and Q E they arrived at eleven o'clock. In the afternoon each one 5 2 enjoyed the show and left for home at six o'clock. 2 The F. F. A. boys gave a barn warming. The girls 2 cooked and served the refreshments for the evening. s E All of the F. H. A. girls went to Buffalo tothe dis- 2 ? trict meeting. They spent the morning singing, ate lunch 2 g in the new cafeteria, and in the afternoon enjoyed a hair 5 Q style preview. 5 rue F. F. A. furnished the funds and cue girls cooked 3 and served the banquet, entertaining the parents. ' 5 I The Soils and Crops Meeting of the farmers- was pre- 2 i pared and served by the girls, with the chapter adviser 2 5 supervising them. 2 E On April the eighth an assembly program was given S ig by the girls. The Easter- Parade of Fashion was given by all the girls. Charlene Barnett, Nancy Calvird, a n d E Virginia McLarry sung solos. A skit based on the Missouri 3 E Waltz was given called Uwefer From Missouri.H The emblem 2 5 ceremony finished the program. The F. H. A. organization meets once a monthwith E games, business, and refreshments. 2 ' Q E Doughnuts were prepared and served for the Christian 3 5 Church by a few of the girls. Some nice compliments girls. The students and towns- 3 5: penile were milling to and fro het een the various stands of bingo, 3 Z food stand, cake walk, candy and popcorn, country store, fish pond, 5 S Q 5 and others. At the earlier part of the evening the students were 2 V i f rushing about selling tick tsto help elect their candidate for queen. 5 A Q Q At 9:30 the crowd gathered in the auditoriuntn see the crowning 7 E of the queen. It had been a merry race --- the Juniors winning with 3 5 their candidate, sweetand modest Mary Anne Toalson, escorted byhand- Q c g 2 sore Dwayne Eldridge. The other candidates were Nano' Calvird,senion 4 Jw' '53 '5 escorted by Lee Gilbert. Ardith Lciber, sophomore, escorted by Tommy 5 1 Jw F 9 E Harden. Barbara Murray, freshmen, escorted by Joe Shelby. The whole N '- 'Sl ,-Q ' ,VI 5 school cheered as Dwayne placed the crown on Lary Anne's head, be- Q ii J cause she did indeed make a lovely queen. A g 5 9 The eighth grade elected Rayona Woods as princess and she was 1 y . i Q escorted by Johnny Tatum.
