Part of us went to the Lee theatreaand saw Mr, Peabody and the Mermaid, while the remainder went to the Go-Show theatre and saw The Seven Sinners. Every one who attended said they had a wonderful time. The seniors were hopeful of electing their queen candi.- date, Nancy Calvird, but we were defeated by the one and only junior class. .Oh well, the seniors can't win everytime. One fine morning the seniors looked rather queer--Why? compeled to wear their their hair in pigtail. for backward day as we is a matter of opinion. IT WAS BACKWARD DAY! Every one was clothes backward and the girls wore Some say we don't need a special day are backward allthe time, however that During the second hour on April 4, the seniors dared to walk out of Mr. Perry's science class. This was one time we got away with it though. we all piled into six cars and went to Clinton. we remained all day and attended the show in the evening. we went to the Lee Theater and saw Ma and Ea Kettle. Both the girls and boys won first place in the class tournaments. The boys team consisted of: Jimmy James, Kenneth Gilkeson, Glenn Pruett, Bill Smith, Leonard Shepard, Gerald Nichols, and Wayne Burrow. The girls team was: Jean Bledsoe , Nancy Calvird, Nanita Gilbert, Carol Kay Hustler, Helen Govan Bonnie Hart, Shirley Moore, and Juanita Francis. On April 15, l9M9, the senior class presented their-play WCalling All Carrs.U A large audience attended and everyone said they enjoyed it immensly. We hope. we wish to take this opportunity to thank the junior class for the wonderful banquet they gave us.
