Anticipation of a great sum- mer sent most students flying out of their classes on the after- noon of June 4, 1987. Most of the Seniors went off to college while Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen celebrated the begin- ning of their summer vacation. Newspaper Editor Stephanie Raiola said, I didn't do much this summer. I found a decent job and worked an average of 20 hours a week. I had a lot of time to go to the beach and to do a little traveling. Senior Kevin Bowers said, I had two jobs and I even had a little time to go to the beach and visit Harding College in Arkansas where I want to go after I graduate. Many high school students kicked up their feet, relaxed and enjoyed the hot Florida sun. Others on the other hand worked summer jobs. Senior Gina Grey worked an average of 40 hours a week. April Scan- lon stated, I like to go to the beach to socialize, get sun, talk to friends and make plans for the weekend. Senior Becca Kemp traveled to Jamaica with her work crew and helped build churches and camps for future crews. I liked Jamaica and we had time to go to the beach, but I like our beaches much better. ir xni ,- Labor Day sun warms Stacy Trombetta and Tina Lewis. Summerl3 I?
