Around the orld n 6 a s Montessa Whitehead Traveling from their home land of OHS to Kenya for Safari Day, the War- riors set up a spectacular list of destina- tions. Setting the dress for Safari and native clothing for Monday, the Warriors scooped up the class points for the first day of competition. Tuesday students traveled to the Mid- dle East. Many students dressed as arabs, bellydancers and some as terror- ists. The terrorist garb greatly offended a few people and several editorials were run in the St. Petersburg Times where some citizens stated that they feared ste- reotypes were being reinforced. These strong feelings led into a day at Rome for the traditional Toga Day with Toga Olympics. Sophomores took lst place, Juniors and Seniors tied for second place and Freshmen pulled up third. Students for the first time took part in Polynesian Day, Thursday. Warriors lim- boed as spectators enjoyed the new activ- ity. The Homecoming pep rally in Warrior Stadium brought an exciting end to the Warriors traveling with Class Color Day. Seniors won the Class colors competition and Senior class President April Scanlon proudly accepted the Spirit Award newly presented and sponsored by the Key Club.
