Students + Science Z Good Chemistry By: Jackie LaGrow Chemicals, animals, bones, fish, and muscles arejust a few of the things that students in the sci- ence classes worked with. Science was a class that many students enjoyed taking because they could actually do hands on work. Labs offered the chance for stu- dents to work with chemicals to create substances. They had ani- mals they could dissect, and they could find microcosms in the mi- croscope. One student, Sherri Pino, took advantage of the various science classes offered. She graduated with a total of seven science cred- its. The reason for this Sherri said was, I hope to major in science, so the classes I took here gave me a lot of background for my fu- ture. The Science Department changed drastically because of an almost entirely new teaching staff: Mr. Greg Sullivan, Ms. Robin Hughes, Mr. Charles Jones, Ms. Nancy Sirmons, and Mrs. Donna Berg joined the Os- ceola faculty. Also, construction added on several new science rooms. Computers were also put to use, so students got better ex- amples than pictures on the chalkboard.
