Inside workers repaired broken facilities and replaced worn equipment and lights. Outside people raked, wa- tered plants and grass, and pruned trees. At 3 P.M. the night crew ar- rived to finish cleaning the class- rooms, hallways, and restrooms. They were the plant operators who erased chalkboards and straightened desks. Fach night they finished their jobs by l lP.M. Each day cafeteria manager, Mrs. Lucy Colbath, and twenty- one workers fed over thirteen hundred students.
